Miami County Public Health COVID-19 Update
Miami County – Miami County Public Health is issuing an update on the COVID-19 in Miami County.
As of today, Monday, April 13, 2020, Miami County is reporting 121 positive COVID-19 cases and 15 deaths due to COVID-19, in Miami County. The case age range is less than 1 year old to 96 years old, with 70 females & 51 males.
To promote mental health and help combat the challenges of limited personal interaction during this trying time, the director of the Ohio Department of Mental Health is implementing the “Strive for 5” program. Ohioans are encouraged to reach out to 5 people, over the next 30 days, through a variety of methods. While gathering isn’t an option right now, we can reach out by phone, text, web, social media and other technology based applications.
Miami County Public Health is now offering some telehealth services in our Reproductive Health and Wellness Program, Well Child Clinic and Prenatal Wellness Center. Telehealth will allow some visits to be done over the telephone instead of coming into the office regardless if you have a smart phone or a land line. Please call us at 937-573-3519 or 937-573-3520 to see if your need can be handled over the phone. Medication refills or prescriptions may be available as a curb side service.
MCPH continues to update the community on new COVID-19 cases and will provide information on new and updated guidance regarding the COVID-19 situation in Miami County.
