Applying for Service

Visit our office at 201 West Water Street to apply for utility service. We require a 24-hour notice to start or stop service. 

Note: All residents over the age of 18 must present the following documentation in our office:

Requirements

  • One business day to start or stop service.
  • Valid picture I.D.    
  • Valid Social Security Card.    
  • Billing address information.    
  • Phone number where you can be contacted.
  • Name of owner or landlord.
  • Start date of when you need utility services.

If you do not own the property at which you wish to apply for service, you may do one of the following:

Residential

  • Electric Service Deposit    $150.00
  • Water Service Deposit    $40.00
  • Provide a guarantor for your account. 
    • Guarantor must: have current utility service with the City of Piqua, own their property by deed, and have an acceptable credit record with us.
  • Provide an Acceptable Letter of Credit from your previous utility company.

Commercial & Industrial

Provide one month’s estimated billing in cash or a Letter of Credit from your banking institution for electric and water services. Contact our office for more information.
