The City of Piqua has closed the restrooms at Lock 9 Park following extensive vandalism damage this week.

The alleged vandals are facing felony charges for damage to water faucets, soap dispensers, baby changing stations and trash cans in both restrooms. The restrooms will reopen following the replacements and repairs needed.

Prior to this incident, the City has expended nearly $8,500 in 2025 repairing fence panels, picnic tables, door handles, basketball hoops, electrical lines and hand dryers intentionally damaged throughout the park system.
