[ARCHIVED] Firefighter training exercises simulate real-life fire, smoke conditions

Square

Piqua Fire Department crews conducted firefighter training at the Piqua Public Safety Regional Training Center on November 7 and 8, 2025.

The training exercises simulate the fire and smoke conditions firefighters experience in real-life scenarios in service to the community. The Piqua team were joined by neighboring departments from Tipp City, Sidney, West Milton, Huber Heights, Covington, Lockington and JSP Fire District.

The skills practiced are those utilized by the firefighters when they enter a structure and need to manage the fire as well as rescue victims inside the home or business.
