The 2023 Pavement Preservation Program is continuing this week as Barrett Paving has started our yearly mill and overlay project. Milling work is taking place this week (September 20th-22nd) and paving will follow in the next few weeks (September 26th-October 20th). Strawser Construction will be starting microsurfacing and cape sealing work next week (September 27th) and will complete that work sometime in early October. All areas will have new pavement markings after completing the pavement preservation work.
The general area where the work is taking place is Candlewood, the neighborhood east of Pitsenbarger Park, Washington Ave, and Wood St. For specific roads and more information on the surface treatment types, please see the map attached and the links below.
Temporary road closures may occur for the safety of the workers and to allow for the work to be completed. No parking signs will be posted. All traffic closures and No Parking areas can be seen on our GIS Street Closure Page, including the dates: https://piqua.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/522d89bf231849938801bcad7309cb5c
Please follow all traffic controls and take caution when driving through these areas.
This portion of the project is scheduled to be completed during this timeframe but is weather-dependent. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kenton Kiser, Engineering Technician, at 937-778-2045, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
