The City of Piqua is prepared for the winter storm that our area is expecting this evening and into tomorrow. Public Works Director Brian Brookhart shares some scenes from the garage, where our trucks are ready to roll when needed, is this video: https://www.facebook.com/CityofPiquaOhio/videos/602553535696567
Be prepared for snow, wind and ice with low temperatures, causing hazardous road conditions. Our crews will be salting and plowing streets as the storm progresses.
Please use caution if you must be out on the roadways. Be sure to leave plenty of room between you and other vehicles. Use particular caution around our trucks and ensure that you keep a safe distance at which you can see the mirrors on the sides of trucks. This allows our drivers to see all surrounding vehicles and ensure safety for all involved.
Note that City crews will focus on primary roads first and then move to the secondary roads. View City snow routes and find additional information on our website: https://public-geo-piqua.hub.arcgis.com/pages/e64ab38511d349d793c9afee37a353a4
