It is almost time for the 2017 Johnston House After Dark tours on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 & Thursday, December 7, 2017.
Have you ever wondered what the Johnston House looks like after dark? Now is the time to find out! Come experience Christmas through the centuries at the Johnston House After Dark.
Your tour will begin in the tenant farmer kitchen of the 1950s with cider and cookies and a chance to shop! Be sure to take a moment before you tour the house, moving from the 18th through the 21st century, to pick up one of our unique items for your loved ones. Tours begin on the half-hour and will take app. 30 minutes, during which time you will experience the Johnston House as you have never seen it lit by candle, oil lamps and Christmas lights!
Tours are on a first come, first serve basis with a capacity of twenty per tour. The cost is $5, with children 5 and under FREE. Tickets will be distributed upon your arrival for the 6:00, 6:30, & 7:00 tours and will begin in the Johnston kitchen on the lower level.
*Johnston house is not handicapped accessible
*Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather
*Sensible shoes are strongly suggested
*You may want to bring a flashlight to light your way when approaching the house and on dark staircases
Due to the remote location of the Johnston House, tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please call 937-773-2522 if there is more than three inches of snow. Tours will be held weather permitting.
