Miami County Public Health COVID-19 Update

Miami County – Miami County Public Health is issuing an update on the COVID-19 in Miami County.

As of today, Friday, April 10, 2020, Miami County is reporting 113 positive COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths due to COVID-19, in Miami County. The case onset date range is March 2, 2020 – April 7, 2020 and an age range of less than 1 year old to 96 years old.

According to ODH Director Dr. Acton, Ohioans are making a difference and flattening the curve. While we are flattening the curve, it is still important that community members keep practicing social distancing and following the Stay-At-Home order. Ohio Department of Health and the CDC recommend wearing a mask when making essential trips and wherever social distancing can be difficult.

Miami County Public Health is now offering some telehealth services due to the COVID19 pandemic.  Clinics such as the Reproductive Health and Wellness Program, Well Child Clinic and Prenatal Wellness Center are part of this program.  Telehealth will allow some visits to be done over the telephone instead of coming into the office regardless if you have a smart phone or a land line.  Please call us at 937-573-3519 or 937-573-3520 to see if your need can be handled over the phone. Medication refills or prescriptions may be available as a curb side service.

MCPH is working hard to keep the community informed on new guidance and will continue to update the community on COVID-19 cases in Miami County.
