During the COVID-19 pandemic it is important that we practice excellent social distancing and remain alert to the Stay-at-Home Order to slow the spread of COVID-19. During this time Governor DeWine and Dr. Amy Acton have ordered that all parks can remain open ut playgrounds should be closed, this includes the Piqua Skate Park.
The following protocols have been taken to enforce these Orders:
- Playgrounds have been taped off
- Signs have been posted at all City playgrounds
- Basketball rims have been removed at Fountain and Mote Parks
The Piqua Police Department will not be guarding these playground areas. It is expected that parents use good judgement to not allow their children to play on these playground areas and practice excellent social distancing.
Roadside Park is located on the site of a former State of Ohio rest area on State Route 66. It is a 7 acres park which offers a shelter, grill and picnic tables in wooded surroundings.
It is located on N. State Route 66 (Near Hardin Road). The park is open from 7:00 a.m. to dusk.
