How do I get around the Run?
Follow all street signage noting “Road Closed Ahead” and barricades saying “Road Closed.” Unless you are going downtown or to a residence along the course, use US36, SR66, or College Street to avoid closed streets. Expect some very minimal delays when using these streets.
The race course is using city streets. In order to provide a safe course, this includes:
• High Street, from Spring to College (Spring and College both open)
• Ash Street, from Spring to College (Spring and College both open)
• The following streets, between Ash and High:
Officers and race volunteers will be posted along the course to accommodate local residents who need to get in or out. Do not drive on the closed roads without specific guidance from an officer or a volunteer clearly designated by their clothing.
Correct answer – “No”
If I didn’t see the “Road Closed Ahead” sign and I didn’t read the “Road Closed” sign on the barricade I just drove around, can I go ahead and drive on the race course?
PROTECT Piqua and Safe Communities will be distributing water at the race award presentation.
