“We are very happy and excited to have Janel Ranly back as part of our Piqua Team. Janel completed her Wright State MPA internship with the City of Piqua five years ago and proved herself to be dedicated and hardworking talent at that time. The experience she has obtained over the last 5 years will be invaluable to our organization,” said Piqua City Manager Gary Huff.
While Ranly was the Management Intern for the City of Piqua she created a City-Wide Dashboard Performance Report using data submitted to the ICMA Center for Performance Measurement. She has also served as the Family/Youth Advocate for the Council on Rural Services here in Piqua. During her employment at the Council on Rural Services she was responsible for programming Entrepreneurial, Business Development and Financial Literacy programs.
Economic Development Director Justin Sommer stated, “Janel’s experience with development programs will enhance our team as Piqua continues to grow. Her knowledge of various funding streams will help the City leverage all available resources to achieve our goals.”
At the City of Piqua Ranly will be in charge of administration of grant funds, preparation of publications at public gatherings related to City development programs, acquire funding resources available to the City including grants, and will serve as the liaison with federal, state, regional, and county agencies.
