On Monday, February 27, 2017, at approximately 6 pm, Piqua Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a subject swimming in the river, north of the dam. Upon arrival, they found a subject that had jumped in the river to escape from an attempt to rob him. Investigation indicated that a subject known to the victim had threatened him with a gun and demanded the victim get into a vehicle, where money was then demanded. This incident is believed to be related to trafficking in marijuana.
Charges have been filed and a warrant has been issued for Blake Dunn, age 18, of Piqua. Anyone who knows Dunn’s whereabouts is requested to call us immediately and avoid approaching him. He may be armed with a firearm.
